When it comes to finding out the Truth about John 3:16, you must first set aside your feelings and then examine this scripture. It May HURT SOME FEELINGS when You Find out the Truth about John 3:16, but John 3:16 has Mislead Many of our people for far too long and we must get some  Understanding of this.

"For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16

The Key Words in John 3:16 is "World" and "Whosoever". People need to understand that the word "World" Does not always mean the Entire Universe and all the Inhabitants in it. A Prime Example of this can be found on merriam-webster.com, if you were to Look up the Definition of The word "World"; and Look at Definition #7. World clearly can also mean a Distinct/Specific Class of people...

WORLD:
Let's Move on to John 17:9, where we find in the scriptures, The Messiah Praying to his Heavenly Father.

John 17:9
[9] I pray for THEM: I PRAY NOT... for THE WORLD, but for THEM which thou hast given me (Israelites); for they are thine (Yours).

Ok…. Christ just said, that He “Pray NOT for the WORLD”! So why is it that in John 3:16 it says that Christ was given because “God so Loved the World”, but then turns around and say he isn't Praying for the world... But only the people who The Most High has have “Given Him”. Now who are these People that The Most High has given his Son? Let’s see…

Deuteronomy 32:8-9
[8] When the MOST HIGH.... divided to the Nations (Races) their inheritance (Land), when he separated the sons of Adam (Everyone), he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the Children of Israel.
[9] For the LORD'S portion is HIS PEOPLE....; Jacob  is the lot of his inheritance.

Amos 3:1-2
[1] Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole `family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
[2] YOU ONLY have I known of ALL the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Psalms 147:19-20
[19] He sheweth his WORD unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
[20] He hath NOT DEALT so with ANY nation (Race): and as for his judgments, they have NOT known them. Praise ye the LORD.

Clearly the Most High didn't deal with Any other Nation of people, He only gave his Laws statues and Judgements to one Nation of people. Those people are the Nation of Israel those whom he Made a Covenant with, and No one else! Israel was their Own Distinctive Class of people! Their Own WORLD! Let’s look at Isaiah 45:17

Isaiah 45:17
[17] But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor..... CONFOUNDED WORLD without end.

So Israel was a World of itself… Their own Distinctive class of people.
Now let's go to Hebrews 1:2 & Hebrews 11:3

Hebrews 1:2
[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made THE WORLDS;

Hebrews 11:3
[3] Through faith we understand that THE WORLDS were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

*Notice: both scriptures have Not the word World...but WORLDS (Plural). The question which could now be posed is, “Which World Did The Most High Love so Much if there is More than one World”?*

James 4:4 says, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses ... know ye not that the friendship of the WORLD... is enmity with God? WHOSOEVER therefore will be a FRIEND of the WORLD is the ENEMY of God.”

Now something's not right... If God loved the Entire world… why can't we all just be friends with the world? Which world is he talking about? Let’s go now to 1 John 2:15.

1 John 2:15
[15] Love NOT THE WORLD, neither the THINGS that are in the WORLD. If ANY MAN LOVE THE WORLD, the love of the Father is NOT in HIM.

Yet again, we can clearly see that there is more than one world that is being referred to in the Bible. We also see in Isaiah 45:17 Israel is a WORLD of itself.
For added clarity on the subject matter, I must interject that in John 3:16 The Messiah was speaking with a Israelite Name Nicodemus who was from the Tribe of Judah (Jew). Reason being is that He (Christ) was only sent to the Israelites, and NOT the Whole World…

John 18:20
[20] Jesus answered him, I spake OPENLY to the WORLD; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither THE JEWS ALWAYS RESORT; and in secret have I said nothing.

Clearly we see that the Jews had to of been their own world again... because The MESSIAH DID NOT GO ALL OVER THE WORLD SPEAKING TO THEM.  It furthers the sobering fact that he was only sent to the Jews because the places where Christ taught the people was in synagogues and temples where Jews/Israelites go, NOT the places of worship of other nations of people; that weren’t set up for those that believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob! Let's Now go to John 14:16-17

John 14:16-17
[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
[17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom THE WORLD cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

There go that WORLD word again… So Let me get this straight... The Messiah loves Everybody Right... but...THE WORLD cant receive the spirit of Truth!? Reason being is that they do not abide in his love…

John 15:10
[10] If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

The scripture just read in John 15:10 makes us aware of the fact that the only way you can abide in His Love is IF you keep the commandments… Hmm Guess he don't Love Everyone like The Church say he does!
 Let's Go to Romans 9:13-14

Romans 9:13
[13] As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I HATED.
[14] What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God?
God forbid (By NO MEANS).

It is laid out plainly that God HATED ESAU.... So Much for loving the Entire world! (Read Malachi 1:1-3 as well.)

WHOSOEVER
Acts 2:21
[21] And it shall come to pass, that WHOSOEVER shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The question that should be answered is who is the “whosoever” that is being referred to that “shall be saved”? That question is answered in the next verse where it says:

v. [22] Ye men of ISRAEL, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

This verse clearly shows that he was talking to a Distinct/Specific Class of people! The Israelites

*The next passage is coming out of the Original King James Bible, the 1611 Edition Bible. Out of one of the books called the Apocrypha (Hidden Books).

2 Esdras 6:9 (King James 1611 Edition)
[9]For Esau is the END...OF THE WORLD, and Jacob (Israel) is the beginning of it that followeth."

*In Genesis 25:21-25 we learn about the birth of Jacob and Esau; which were 2 different Nations (Races). Esau had his own world of People and so did Jacob aka Israel. So in this verse it tells us Esau is the END of the WORLD, but Jacob’s world is the beginning of it that follows behind Esau's World.

2 Esdras 6:54-56 (King James 1611 Edition Bible)
[ 54] And after these, Adam also, whom thou made lord of all thy creatures: of him come we all, (*REMEMBER WE ALL COME FROM ADAM...NOW KEEP READING IT SAYS ) and the people also whom thou hast chosen.
(*STOP! WHO DID THE MOST HIGH CHOOSE?? ISRAEL (Isaiah 43:1, Isaiah 44:1-2, Deuteronomy 14:2)
[55] All this have I spoken before thee, O Lord, because thou madest THE WORLD for our sakes (*STOP..SO CLEARLY THE WORLD WAS ONLY MADE FOR ISRAEL... Esdras was also an Israelite)
[56] As for THE OTHER PEOPLE, which also come (Descend) of Adam (Everyone else), thou hast said that they are NOTHING, but be like unto spittle (SPIT): and hast likened the abundance of them unto a drop that falleth from a vessel (Cup)

<<Precept>>

Isaiah 40:15;17
[15] Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
[17] All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

We can read passage after passage that will outline the harsh reality that God does NOT love everybody
